I always sense what I feel whenever I see a scene in front of me. It may be a beautiful sunset, but if I don't feel anything special I wouldn't bother to take out my camera. On the other hand if I feel something unique then I will try to capture that feeling in a final photograph. In other words, a print. Nowadays I only work in black and white since I closed my color lab. Usually, I fail at getting even half of what I felt. But somethings I get up to 80% of the feeling that I felt at the time I came across the scene. Stieglitz called this (his photographs) equivalents."
