Cartoonists occasionally mention a character who was an artist, author, or inventor. I look up the name to see if that person is real. This one is.

The first is a reference to Edvard Munch's famous painting "The Scream" which looks a lot like how his screaming mother is pictured in your comic. Hence a "great moment of maternal inspiration."

Well excuse me for offending you.
I posted because the OP said "I look up the name to see if that person is real. This one is."
If he had to look it up, I was trying to provide additional information. You know, trying to be helpful. I realize how old fashioned that is.
I will endeavor to be more considerate of your sensibilities in future. Hopefully you will recover soon.

Why on earth why would I want a image taken with a device that has such a miniscule sensor? When I want a picture of something I use my full frame Nikon.

We’ll, it needed “EXplaining to me”. After the ignorant and unnecessary reply by SuperflyTNT he deserved the sarcasm. 🥸

I didn't see the connection with the mother's mouth until I saw who Edvard was.

Continue being helpful.

I did. And was grateful...why the "gender bias?"

Because as they say “it’s not always about size…it’s how you use it.”
