If your hair light, for instance, is the brightest illumination in your photo, that doesn’t make it your main light. If it did, you would always be telling your asst to increase the light next to the camera, or ‘that one over there’. Ya, they have names on purpose.

Ok, not to beleaguer the subject, and of course you can call your lights anything you like, but usually:
"The key light is your main light source which could be the sun or artificial lighting. Meanwhile, the fill light is that additional light source that “fills” in the dark areas on the subject. In general, the fill light needs to be less bright than the key light."
--Wikipedia, Digital Camera World tutorial, Master Class, etc.

That is what gives the lighting ratios. So yes, if your "hair light" were the brightest, it would be the "main light".

Anyway, I like what you are doing.
