Using directions from one of those services that directs one to turn and end up in water?

The shot.

Great example of leading lines, framing and balanced light, well done!

Been looking at this one off and on for a few days now, pretty awesome shot. The grain and tone match up perfectly not to mention the composition and the challenge with the light.

I have to ask if you are scanning film or prints.

weagwan, thank you very much for the compliments.

I scan my negatives. I'm currently using an Epson V850 Pro. Prior to that it was an Epson Perfection 3200.

Thanks, I'm still on the fence between the V850 and a Plustek 8200. I had a HP flatbed film scanner years ago that didn't give me the quality I was expecting on film and it only fitted 35mm. I know when I get back into film I'm going to shoot some medium format. I have some ideas for making a light box for 120/220 film for a flat bed. I have a changing bag and spools and chemicals. I just need to make space and get it together. My favorite 35mm film camera is a 1967 Chinon SLR with a multi leaf shutter and flash synch up to 1/120. I also have an EOS Canon Rebel film I bought new when the came in the late 1980s that fits all of my current L series lenses. Yea, I'm chomping at the bit, I better get it together 😁

waegwan, obviously, I'll recommend the V850. It took me a lot of thought time to make the decision. Fortunately, things worked out and I purchased the scanner. Additionally, I use Silverfast 9 to drive the scanner. I wish you well on setting up to do film. I love the craftmanship involved.
