Oh, sorry...GDP growth during the trump years barely, just minimally barely averaged a few basis points above the prior four years.
Investors are feeling pretty bullish today though. People who put their money on the line.
Merger and acquisition activity hit a new record in 2021...during whatzhisnames admin.
Private equity investments in companies hit an all time high this past year. An all time high. Investors are feeling pretty good about where things are headed for some reason. Times are scarey...the socialists are trying to take over, yet the people with real capital to put at risk have invested in a big way during 2021. They have put their money at risk. They have gotten off the side lines.
The huge multi billion dollar deals don't matter to me.
The private equity market tends to play in the middle market...deals valued from a few hundred million to half a billion. These investors are buying into middle market company opportunities at a record pace this past year.
Why?
If whatzhisnames admin is destroying America, why has an investment market that has been a bit tepid for a decade or more suddenly burst into record levels of investment?
