When I imported my photos to lightroom cc I did not realize it made copy's. Where do I find them and what is the best way to get rid of all 4,000 plus copy's?

Look at your import settings, they should tell you where the copies were copied to.

Look at your Prior Import view of the catalog, if this last 4000 were processed as a total group. Sort your catalog Library view by Added Order and you can multi-select all the images in one group and remove from the catalog.

Depending on your LR back-ups and / or prior contents, you might change to a back-up LRCAT file or just start a new LRCAT file.

One possibility is to simply unlink that folder and start over if you have not erased the card or file that you used for importing. Once you do that trash the old folder. It pays to read the import dialog boxes when importing.
