I see a lot of advertisements for Flex Smart tripod attachment. It claims no knows but hold camera in a steady fixed position. Original price $79 on sale for $39... too good to be true?

Just had a quick look at it and it seems like a somewhat specialized tool. I don't know whether I would use it on a day to day basis but I would probably use it while doing time-lapse and macro work. Max weight is 3 kg (6.7 lbs) and after a few uses I would assume that number will decrease, how much who knows? On a day to day use I don't see how this tool is any better than a ball head mount. But for $39 USD ($50.99 CAD) it could fill up that small empty space in your bag and make you feel good. I'm gonna pass on it..... for now anyway. Guess I'll have to make a small space in my bag o tricks.

Price compared to ball-head looks good. However, I use ball heads on both my monopod & main tripod & just leave them on. Looks like the ball head method will take up less room in a tripod bag & to me are a known quality. just my thoughts
