Thank you Bill - yes, it was quite a trip into some very interesting areas, I hope you will like the places as the show unfolds. This actually was quite an unusual trip for us: No driving for the entire time. By far the majority of our trips are self-drives and I do enjoy the freedom that this gives me. And we do drive just about anywhere, except in Asia, where I have driven only in about a handful of countries. A good part of the reason for this is the signage, even though here in China my wife would be able to sort things out. But in a way it was much more relaxing to be able to lean back, be chauffeured around, just soaking in the views. But that does then lack part of the excitement of being on your own in a foreign place. Well, we did quite ok here overall.

Hi Earnest, good to see you looking in on my new venture and thank you for your nice comment. Yes, the travel bug has been in my blood (and probably mutated my genes when I look at our kids travels), but I am coming to the point now where I have to cram in as much as I still can do, not knowing when the fun is going to be over and older age or health reasons put a stop to it. Thus these last two years have been terrible, I feel that the purpose of my life has been taken away from me - but let's hope that we are seeing the beginning of the end for that and a resumption of a somewhat "normalcy". Again, thanks for looking in Earnest!
