John and Madelyn have passed on. Better know as my Pentax K3 and prime 300mm.
They slid off the hood of the Armada as I was loading the passenger seat with my gear this morning.
Neither was responsive to sweet talk or repair attempts :(
Both had very long and busy lives.
This post of images taken in the last few weeks is dedicated to them.
And since I wont be taking any new pictures, I will post their efforts from past adventures.

My heartfelt condolences for John and Madelyn. They did well in their lifetime. But surely they will be replaced by a similar and better pair to enable you to continue posting such excellent photos.

not on MY income lol. I can still do Macro and pet pics with my other Pentax, but bird shots are over lol
I was getting to old to look up anyway

Actually I am lol I did manage to get the lens to work. I don't know how long it will work but for right now it's working and it still is sharp. The motor makes a little extra noise that it used to, but I'm looking at a KP as a replacement camera body
