I just starting getting ads from Alibaba on UHH. The prices are a rip off.
Canon 2000D(T7) for over $2000. Best Buy, Walmart etc. have them for $450 to $550 with a lens.
Typo?
Regardless...
I usually order from B&H first; Best Buy as backup for some stuff.
Sorry, I won't touch Alibaba...
Sure it's a "2000D"?? Another typo?

Yes I am sure it said 2000D which if you check is the same camera as those marked T7 here in the US. I have only seen it twice in the last two days but it was the same both times. Could be their typo or mistranslation to English as the model with a price closest to what they had is the R6.
Alibaba is a Chinese on line sales company sort of like Amazon in that it has a huge variety of things for sale. Two days ago a Google search I made for something had it as one of the choices. I had never heard of it and clicked then read their info and left. Then I looked it up to see what it was. After that one click the ads started to appear here on UHH and once or twice on Face Book.
Their ad just popped up again only this time it for a used pickup truck for $2000.

I have an app called Wish...a lot of stuff from China...a lot of that counterfeit.
They sometimes have camera equipment from a Korean vendor with prices that are 5 to 6 times retail. Makes me wonder, "is that in dollars or some type of Korean currency?"
I ordered a Bose bluetooth speaker once knowing from the price that it couldn't be real, it wasn't. Thought, "oh great, now I have to send this thing back to China." I didn't.
I sent an e-mail telling them that their bluetooth speaker didn't have bluetooth and that made it a doorstop. They refunded my money including shipping and I didn't have to send it back.
I now use it as...you guessed it...a doorstop.
