Has Canon made the decision to no longer produce EF lenses? I knew that they have decided to kill all new designs but I was not aware they were discontinuing manufacture of existing designs.

EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Macro
EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM
EF-S 35mm f/2.8 IS STM Macro
EF 40mm f/2.8 STM

EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM
EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM II
EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
EF 85mm f/1.2L USM II
EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
EF 100mm f/2 USM
EF 135mm f/2L USM
EF 180mm f/3.5L USM Macro
EF 200mm f/2L IS USM
EF 300mm f/4L IS USM
EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM
The following Canon lenses may have also been discontinued:
EF 35mm f/2 IS USM
EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM II
EF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM II
EF 500mm f/4L IS USM II
B&H Photo still lists 56 Canon EF and EF-S lenses (including some of the above). 39 are full frame EF, 17 are crop-only EF-S.
In addition, there are around 150 million Canon EF and EF-S lenses that have been sold the last 30 years, so there are huge numbers of them on the used market.
As Canon itself and Canon users gradually transition from DSLRs to mirrorless, the prices of DSLRs and the lenses to fit them have dropped and in some cases are exceptionally good values. On the whole, EF lenses have not dropped in price as much as the cameras, probably in large part because EF lenses adapt quite well for use on the RF-mount mirrorless cameras.
