First you need to ask yourself what exactly you want to express with the image. Then determine which version most effectively expresses that.

For me I prefer the black and what version. I think it puts the emphasis on the two subjects and not the background.
Black and white by far. The focus is on the interaction rather than what they are wearing.

The color version makes me believe I know what the shot is all about. The BW is unclear as to messaging.
The “chairs” are an unfamiliar item of an indistinct shape. The extra info of the color version makes it easier to see what they are. If the chairs were drab and colorless, there would be no advantage to the color version.

IMHO, the color of the chairs is necessary. Maybe great with colored chairs and the rest B&W???
