Passing through the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge on Cape Hatteras, NC the other day and there were thousands of Tundra Swans down for the season (Snowbirds... 
), these few were much closer to the road than the majority who were way out in the marshes. Wildlife biologists at the visitor's center said they counted over 3000 swans from noon till dusk in one day. Best in d/l or dd/l....Cheers and Happy New Year.

That is why I was laughing.
Being from AZ the area along the Colorado river in winter is nothing but 10's of thousands of RVs covering every inch of flat ground.
