Testing the New Updates from Topaz

My little Black Phoebe was back this afternoon. I was checking the settings on my camera and flash when it landed. Thought I flipped the off lever on the flash and tried to take a shot through the glass door. Total wash out from the flash reflection. By the time I eased the door open the bird was gone. The AF did its job and LrC Dehaze plus the new Topaz Denoise and Sharpen AI almost salvaged the shot.
1. washout through glass with flash
2. after Dehaze
3. after cropping and the new Topaz versions used as
plug-ins in PS
There were a lot more hot spots from rain drops. I got tired of using spot removal and clone stamp to hide them after 1/2 hour and doing 2/3 of the bird.
Canon 90D, Tamron 150-600 G2 @ 600, 1/250 @ f/6.3, ISO-1000
Through double pane glass door in rain with flash accidentally left on. You can see the AF did a good job through the glass and I did not expect the software to recover this much of an image. The mostly dark brown of this young Phoebe did come out almost all black.
So with a good OOC shot the results should be even better than the previous version. Considering the OOC the final is a near miracle.

Wow! I would have deleted that first image; never thought it was salvageable!

Every so often I take a junk image and test the newest updates to my editing apps to see how far they go.
This worked very well. Though over exposures can often be recovered a lot better than under exposures. Just like in Ye Olden Days when I had a darkroom. Under exposed negatives gave you very little to work with.
