LF, pardon my apparent criticism. I am not a person who enjoys spewing vitriol nor even petty squabbles with someone who does nothing to merit such treatment. There seems to be enough of that already. I usually refrain from comment if I think it will disturb the peace.

Please apologize to Layla and mention that I adore her attitude concerning nudity and exhibition. I am of the same mind, truly. And while I find your lens work to be interesting, it can be just the tiniest bit repetitive. Not unusual for a young guy so enthusiastic about his work. You are obviously proud of your Layla portfolio. By all means, keep posting.

I must say that at times this section does drag on to the point of utterly boring and repetitious. And that, no doubt, is promoted and provoked by the salubrious and encouraging remarks that perpetuate the issue by seemingly "lacking" viewers' opinions. There are a number of posters on here that peddle the same real low grade stuff (and I am certainly not naming anyone here): out-of-focus, badly exposed, less than complimentary view point that receive glowing reviews, which are, in reality, diabolical! denigrates the whole section massively, to me. Obviously all of our standards and areas of expertise vary massively. And the whole point here is that we are meant to be growing as photographers and in our views on this area of photography. But for goodness sake lets gets some semblance of reality, normality, and quality back to this section. Most of the stuff on here now is real dribble and not worthy of comment and worth ignoring, yet this rubbish seems to be hugely encouraged. I repeat: at this time my view is not publicly directed at a particular poster, and not this poster in particular, more the current standard in general which is pretty damn low!

So you only consider the good feedback and not the more critical stuff? Positive feedback does not mean that you are some shining light in nude photography. I've seen some of your stuff, and beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Some of it isn't bad. Not GREAT, but not bad. You do have a very good creative side, but it's your creativity that often gets in the way of "reality". There are a number of people here who offer positive feedback to Laylafan69's work as well. As far as "reality" goes, she's ahead of you. To some of us, she offers something in her work that yours does not. But keep trying. Practice leads to improvement.
