On another note; I am too old and not active enough in photography any more to spend the money to buy a D500, but from the reviews I have read and seen, it is an awesome camera.

I think Nikon Rumors has gone off track. While I might expect a replacement for the D850 sometime, I would also expect that replacement to be mirrorless. With all the emphasis Nikon is placing on expanding its mirrorless line as quickly as it can, I would be very surprised to see any new bodies other than mirrorless ones. Call it Chris' Nikon rumors if you will. We shall see. Happy New Year to ALL!

I would suggest going to MPB.com and see what they are selling for in a condition similar to your D500. This will give you a ballpark price

The point here is the OP is selling a D500. I could care less what he’s buying. It could be a Nikon 976 or a Tesla. Not the issue. Pics and shutter count are needed. I see no reason for rudeness. We all make typos, for heaven’s sake.
