No PP
Only PP work is added clarity

Second is a little soft with limited DOF. If you haven't tried focus-stacking-- the second one is begging for it! Keep 'em coming.

Thank you for your comment. I have never done focus stacking, but I did research it a bit after your comment. I have to use manual focus with the macro lens I have. So, I've just been practicing the focus issues I've had with manual. I've still not been satisfied with my photos because I constantly get shallow DOF. I will keep the focus stacking in mind the next time I shoot macro.
Thanks for the advice. :)
With your permission, I will show you a few flower stacks. I am by no means the master. For truly incredible stacks, check out Nass on this forum. His are amazing stacks of the eyes of insects.
I like the idea of image #1. Notice that the petal edges are soft. I suspect a narrow DoF, as is also apparent in image #2. Both of these images would benefit from a much smaller apertures to increase DoF. That dictates using a tripod-mounted camera and longer exposures.
Please post camera ISO, lens focal length, shutter duration, and aperture for each image. That way we know what recommendations to offer.
By "no PP", I assume you also mean no cropping. If so, consider shooting a bit farther away to increase DoF, then cropping to 1:1 magnification (life-size).

Both photos: Nikon D3000 at ISO 100, with Nikkor 55-mm macro lens, 1/15-sec at f/8.
No PP, no cropping. I'll have to try from further away and bump the settings around a bit, kinda play around and see what works.
