Took a stroll along the boardwalk at Green Cay yesterday. Green Cay, Boynton Beach, FL and part of the Palm Beach water reclamation facility, overlooks 100 acres of constructed wetland and provides educational opportunities about this unique habitat. The wetland features 1.5 miles of elevated boardwalk featuring interpretive signs about the habitat. The Nature Center includes a lecture hall, gift shop, and live animals in an extensive exhibit room that highlights wetland attributes. The boardwalk encircles the entire wetlands.

Just a few of the critters we saw on a very warm clear, breezy day. Best in DL/DDL....Cheers

Nice set of photos. Can you id the lizard for me? I saw one just like it at Fort Myers Beach a touple weeks ago; it was about four feet long.

Thanks John, most appreciated...I think, this is a Green Iguana since they are the majority of species in Florida and the largest. A male can have a gold or yellow colors when breeding season comes 'round....Cheers

Thanks Chuck, only one big gator on the bank, usually see many just sunning. A great little wetland to walk the morning off and taking photos, I wish Vero's Wetland had been maintained, its all gone now, totally covered over and boardwalk deteriorated.....Cheers
