Sent a lens in to Fuji for repair. They received it on Oct 25, 2021. Finally called about it on December 3rd. Was told they were waiting for my authorization based on their estimate. They never sent/called me an estimate.
Anyone else have an experience like this?
Curious...

Simple answer, yes, happens all the time. Humans are quite sloppy.

I asked Fuji for advice on fixing a problem with my x-t3. I received an immediate acknowledgment that they had received my email and would respond promptly. No response in a week, and I asked when I could expect a response. Same form acknowledgment of receipt. Another 3 weeks have passed without a response.

I meanwhile spent some time with my camera and stumbled upon a fix to my problem.

Should I in the future send my camera to Fuji is I need a repair?

Not at all impressed with their service. Sent in an xe3 for a sensor issue, they charged me $185 attempted to clean the sensor, sent the body back with the note that the sensor was cleaned but they could not get out the spot. So I am left with something that they apparently cannot repair rendering it not much more that a $400 brick.

Can you not have the sensor replaced with a new one? Even an IR might be better than a "brick".

One would think Fuji Repair would have suggested that. In fact, I even requested those options when I sent it in. I guess they were more satisfied with doing less for more money in their hands! I even called them, left messages and no one calls back.

They probably did send it but you probably deleted it while going through you email hastily or it went in your junk mail which most people don't review before deleting.
