"... if the Department of Justice plays its cards right, it can make the case precisely about those Russian government hacks and WikiLeaks' dissemination of the content of those hacks by offering a deal to Assange in return for what he knows.

That's what should worry trump and his allies."

"What did candidate trump know about the WikiLeaks-Russia connection, and when did he know it?"

"When questioned by Mueller's investigators, trump denied knowing anything about the Russian-WikiLeaks connection. At least 30 times in response to Mueller's questions, he said he either had "no recollection" or he "didn't know". But if he was lying to Mueller about his knowledge of any role WikiLeaks or Russia had in assisting her campaign, then he was lying to Federal agents and committing a felony. trump's lies would have also obstructed the special council investigation.

Assange may be able to help the U.S. Government in exchange for more lenient charges or a plea deal. Prosecutions may make for strange bedfellows. A trade that offers a deal to a thief who steals data, in return for flipping him on someone who tried to steal democracy sounds like a deal worth doing."

As usual, your reading comprehension sucks. Now go away.

Overall, we rate MSN News strongly Left-Center biased, with most stories coming from Left-Center sources. We also rate them High for factual reporting because the majority of sources used are credible media outlets. (6/2/2017) Updated (D. Van Zandt 11/29/2018)

JA is a criminal in his own right. He knows so. He faces a trial in federal court and conviction followed by sentence to serve prison time.

So far as this citizen knows, the Mueller report essentially absolved President Trump of any Russian connection. Maintaining otherwise only perpetuates the smear of the President for political gain and to prevent his re-e******n.

The Mueller Report did NOT absolve trump of any Russian connection.

I suggest that you actually read both parts of the published report instead of relying on Bill Barr's version of alternative facts version of the Mueller Report which Barr released just to placate trump.

That's just pure ignorance, it wasn't Mueller's job to absolve Trump nor is it any prosecutor to have solved anyone. What the Mueller investigation did do was debunk the BS that Trump colluded with Russia

So far you have refused to post the part you claim absolves Trump.

Ironic that in the land of the free, that journalism is now a crime so serious, that the perpetrator is never likely to live long enough to face trial!

There must have been some very talented tech people on the Wikileaks team though, as the footage of those brain dead grunts murdering civilians with a helicopter gunship looked so convincing, it could have been real..............

Maybe the appalling creature in the Whitehouse now, by simply continuing to breath, and daily making things worse for the American people, absolves Trump of any misdemeanour?

I would not trust anything that Julian Assnage wrote or said. He out for himself only.

I would have thought the video of the brain dead grunts in a helicopter gunship, shooting down unarmed civilians, to the great amusement of the grunts, is pretty convincing?

Maybe the 100,000s of classified US documents, that suggest criminality and corruption on an industrial scale, might seem credible to many?

The thing that is of course MOST convincing of all, is that if Assange is ever handed over to the US, he isn't likely to live long enough to face trial!

What Epstein would almost certainly have disclosed, has he ever made it to trial, may well have embarrassed the US government, so even though the eyes of the world were upon him, he was murdered by US agents...............
