Wonderful photos! There are so many dogs that need forever homes in shelters across the country. What a great way to contribute one’s skills to help them accomplish that. Thank you for sharing.

My local vet has a photographer who does similar portraits. That photographer also helps adoption facilities by doing portraits for them. They work incredibly well.

Our dog is a rescue dog. We were rejected at first because of our age. At the time we were in our mid-seventies and very active. So we lied about our age on the next set of applications. After three years all is well with the three of us.

A great set of photos. Small suggestion. Less focus on the dogs licking their lips. Makes them look like they are looking for BIG MEALS.
"Adoption" is correct. It is less about acquiring a pet, more like expanding the family.

I find it ironic that you were refused adoption because of your age but nothing prevented you from purchasing a dog.

Adoption is a good word. Another descriptive word is "rescue" as that is what some animals need, rescued from a sad existence.

So very true. I have a rescue Persian cat. She was rescued from a breeder that was the equivalent to a puppy mill.
