Not bad for through the picture window as well. Feeder back up as it was freezing overnight. This little fellow drank and drank; usually a sip or two and then gone.
Humminging birds have extremely high metabolisms and require food as soon as possible after waking up, they sip through the day and need to stock up right before dark to survive. To keep this little guy happy get the feeder out as soon after daylight as possible and don't take it in before dark. His life may be in your hands during cold snaps

yes, once up it's a comittment. Salvia all bloomed out and gone. Over the years I brougt many feeders in overnight so they would not freeze and rehang them in the morning. They will scold you if your late.
