I live in a (detached) condo with about 100 units total. I am more likely to get the name right when someone is at their own house. I may not get it when they're out walking or when I meet them at a store.

Here too. An advantage to being military is everyone’s name is on their shirt/jacket. Bummer now that the name and rank are in a camouflaged color on camouflaged uniform. A female may take office at someone looking close to discerne name and rank.
