Rick: A few years ago I was sitting under the basket during a girls bb game. This girl crashes into me and cut her head on my lens hood on the 70-200 2.8. I was a bit uneasy after that. Still sitting as close as I can without going into the free throw area. I just looked at your latest gallery, good stuff.
What is your email, mine is jfkvegas@yahoo.com

Definitely under the basket, and I'm a good 10' away from the baseline, give some stellar in your face action. I know what you mean about injuries whether to the athlete or photographer, everything has a risk. I'll most likely shoot some more games this Friday and I'll definitely keep your comments in mind. WOW!! Is all I can say. Rick these are excellent, and to be shot at 8000-12800 is awesome. I think with my D800 or D810 I wouldn't have anywhere close to these. Would have so much noise that I would delete! Thanks and post some more. BE SAFE!!

Tom

Rick - these photos are excellent and like Tom, I'm amazed at the ISO you shot with.

Tom - I have both the D800 and D810; the D800 is waiting for spring - outdoor, nice sunny day sporting events; the D810 is currently my go-to cameral for low light, but anything above 6400 is too noisy. I'm looking for another body for next year - maybe the z6ii. not sure I can justify getting a z9.

Thanks Stephen,

Just pushing my camera gear to see what it can handle and little help from lightroom. Mirror-less is definitely retiring my other dslr bodies.
