Hummingbirds Our Yard

A few Hummer shots from our yard. All taken within 50 feet of our house during 2021.
All Anna's Hummingbird shots, male of course. They congregate and fight and squabble over their place on the branch. Fun little guys to watch and photograph.
I do not have many really good on the wing shots; most of sightings are in the woods-dark! Hard to freeze wing movement at 1/500! Still working on it.
Tried to show the various feathers positions giving us various looks at the colors on these beautiful birds.
I am stuck doing very little because of my left shoulder and left knee, so retrospectives for the time being. I am trying to work with the VA but the practitioner they sent me to only hurt my shoulder by digging in to prove I had pain and to sell me his "cocktail" of injectables designed to ease the pain. Waiting for a referral to a real rheumatologist!

These shots are spectacular. Flying you do not get as much detail. You nailed it.
