It reminds me of a Victorian wall paper.

Photoshop Only! But similar can be achieved with other special programs and edits. Indeed, Victorian Wallpaper, now replaced in our homes by bland paint. With wallpaper, children could transport themselves with imagination. Far from being a child, I look at your creation and try to decide what the central figure is doing; part bird, part insect a mythological victim, or creation of genetic AI.

It does remind me of wallpaper. Brings me back to long-ago childhood.

Thanks for commenting Ken, I don't think we ever had a house with wallpaper

I have been enjoying your playful posts and this one is very cool. I think the color pallet is what pulled me in but the bold botanical graphics kept me circling around the bird. There some pictures within this picture with crops to move the bird around. I would be interested in any info on your workflow.

I usually make make my own backgrounds, this is one example. I never have any plans when I start a project like this background. I use Photoshop, ACR, Topaz Adjust and Studio 2, NIK with wild abandon. Most attempts result in failures that I keep in a secret file Occasionally something works and I get something that works.

I shot the hummingbird yesterday, cut it out in PS and randomly picked out this background. I dropped in the bird and played with the opacity slider a little and that was it.

If you wish to play around with it feel free I can PM you the background and bird. If you post it just tell me what you did and how.

The wall paper concept really does seem appropriate. I like the colors and the soothing tones.
