The Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro might be what you are looking for.

Nikon also makes a 105 macro, f/2.8, which is much cheaper than their 105, f/1.4, and virtually as sharp. The 105 macro is a superb lens, not as fast, but lighter and far more versatile!

If you really need the f/1.4 you may certainly go with the expensive model.

Also, you may consider both Nikon and Sigma Art 85mm f/1.4 lenses. I have the earlier generation Sigma 85mm f/1.4, and it works fine for everything I have ever used it for. Trade-off: you may have to stand closer to your subject, but you can get great portrait results with any of these lenses. How deep you want to dig into your wallet is about the only difference.

As usual it depends on what you are after.
Like the previous B&W images posted back a few pages...there you might want to show every line...every crinkle...or you may want to go soft on purpose.

Really sharp...stay with native modern glass...anything between 50mm to 100mm. You have more leeway than you might think here focal length wise.
Want that soft look?
Go buy a good Pentax Takumar 55mm f/1.4 lens...less than $200 usually. Built like a tank...just slap an adapter on it...go manual (of course you should anyway). Those lenses can do soft...and ratchet down the aperture...can get very sharp...but probably not as sharp as a very modern Canon lens...but it will cost a heck of a lot more.
Start with the TAK...no big investment and it might become a favorite lens for you. I have one...use it occasionally...but I shoot wildlife and landscape.

If you decide to go that way, I have a 50mm f.1.4 Super Takumar that I will sell for $150 and throw in a nice Pentax Spotmatic with an issue (shutter won’t release). If interested, PM me.

I would look into the Sigma ART series- They are very nice in both construction and performance.

You are so very right about the Sigma Art lenses, I recently bought a used Sigma Art 50mm lens to use on my Canon
R5 and was blown away with how sharp my pics looked with that lens.

I have used my 70-200 2.8 for most of my Head Shots and have had great results. I’m now looking to upgrade my lens to possibly something @ a 1.4 or 1.8 to get that sharper look. I have done tons of research and reading on recommendations on the best lens to use and have lens overload. I would like to hear from anyone here that does Head Shots and what they use, also don’t want to “break the bank”.

I use a Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 manual lens on my F2. I will purchase a Z 85mm f/1.8 S lens for my Z6ii when it arrives. I also like the 105mm lens but I do not own one. I also use the 85mm occasionally for candid street shots. The lens is lite and very sharp.
