This specimen seemed to be injured. Maybe just old age but it had difficulty walking.

Thank you Joe. I need to get more light on the face. The second shot was on the dining room table which I thought made a good reflection, unfortunately I didn't notice the sunlight through the window made the table lighter on the left side which may be a distraction.

Fortunate for the spider that it was you around to capture these fine shots. Had it been me, it’s main difficulty would have been living, not walking!

Good find and spiders mean us no harm and knowing that they are around is a good thing for they play an important part in the balance of nature. I often ponder when I see one in the house, "I wonder what it's eating for it would not be here if there were not a source of food".

Thanks for viewing and commenting Raymond. Spiders are welcome around here, although my wife insists that I move them outside the house

Thanks Sippy. You and I are of one mindset when it comes to spiders. It took a while but I did convince my wife to call me when she finds one in the house instead of flattening it with her shoe. This one was in pretty bad shape but I released it in the crawlspace at the back end of my machine shop. I figure it will either find something to eat there or something will find and eat him or her. Either way God's creation wastes nothing.

Or maybe, it could be injured and old age both.

Thank you Jeff. I was just checking some of your posts. I really liked the gull with the octopus from a while back.
