Some shots yesterday from Baskett Slough NWR. Nice blue-sky days are hard to come by in western Oregon in December. Large flocks of ducks and geese were flying around, and the marshy areas are starting to fill with water from the recent rains.
All photos taken with Canon EOS R5 and either the RF100-500mm or RF800 f/11 lens.

Thanks for the comment. I believe the second photo is an American Coot. I was not familiar with them but there are a lot stopping over here. They were the most populous species there. Rather difficult to photograph since they dive under water or have their head under constantly.

We had a big flock of them. Not being a big bird person I didn’t know, thanks. I got a few photos.

#6 is a Cackling Goose. They’re smaller than a Canada, have a shorter neck, domed head and shorter beak.
