I just returned from shooting a documentary in the Arctic, and had time to shoot a few rusty relics at Bluie 2 East, an abandoned WWII US airfield deep in the fjord near Kulusuk, Greenland

All, sorry to come in late for this challenge, but I wanted to share these pics from the Bonne Terre Mine in Missouri. It's the only place I know of where you can see the "smoke" coming off of metal as it corrodes. Not great pictures technically, but cool. Fire = rapid oxidation; Corrosion = slow oxidation; both give off "smoke".
