Amoreena again. This pendant held a place in her heart that I didn’t understand, I found it provided her with some comfort. Some commenters have said that it was distracting from her images but I felt okay with the whole package. ‘Nuff said.

I have to say this is one of your best, in my opinion. Not many photographers have the skill much less the demeanor to take intimate portraits and nudes. In this photo, I think the word "intimate" is what strikes me the most. Nudes on a beach are one thing, but often do not impart an emotional response. This isn't a nude, but it has a more powerful effect on me. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment Fred. I agree that it is an intimate photo and I contemplated not sharing it, but, as you said, it is quite exquisite. It’s intimacy is due to my relationship with Amoreena, though it’s not romantic or physical at all. It’s all about knowing each other and being comfortable with each other and having the trust it takes to get so close. This was during a nude shoot, but even on nude shoots there were some clothed shots and some shots where she was nude but I would zoom in on her face or hair from the side or back, something like that. (Sorry for the run-on sentence, comments like yours get me going.)

Richard Thompson has a song called ‘Beeswing’, which he describes a girl being as delicate as a bees wing.

“She was a rare thing fine as a bee’s wing
So fine a breath of wind might blow her away”

Amoreena appears to be so, but she is one of the strongest people (not women) I’ve ever met.
