I literally cringe every time any free shipping involves Fedup...for anything of real importance, I will either pay for better or shop somewhere with any other free shipper. I have watched them dump/throw my packages over my gate.....and it even has a sign that says "You are on video". No other shippers do that to me.
Up here in my area mid-coast Maine Fed-up is awful I have an 85 ft long driveway and sometimes they leave my packages anywhere some times on my woodpile at halfway to the house or on the front lawn where I can't see them. years ago I bought a 4 lamp troffer and paid $240.00 to overnight ship it because I was to testify at the Statehouse in Augusta the next day and I needed it as a prop, they never even tried to deliver it and after many calls, I located it in Waterville and had to drive to the warehouse 3hrs round trip in the middle of the night to pick it up and the next morning drive back to Augusta for the presentation. Up here UPS has always been reliable.
I agree, I will not allow Fed-up to deliver to my home. Once, when I was told it was delivered, I found it 3 days later after they had tossed it behind my bushes. Another time I arrived home to find it in the street at the end of my driveway.
Guess we're lucky where I live in the Pacific NW. We're on over 6 acres, in the country, with a steep gravel drive up to our gate. When it's closed, FedEx has carried packages up to my covered deck around 500' away. Usually, they can drive up to it. Never had an issue with them.
It's the mail here that's slow. We have to drive 7 miles to town to pick it as they don't deliver to our house. After it's shown a package has been delivered, when I get there, too many times I'm told it hasn't been sorted yet, please come back tomorrow. They're all very friendly, just short staffed.
