comments. I applied some exposure correction. Her dad used my camera. He uses the flash different than I would and I had to correct the exposure. What changes are required.
Looks like a sweetie here; normally she is wrestling with her brother and has him pinned to the floor.
What a cutie !! and a great photo

Way overexposed in my opinion. Expose to the right is good for getting all the detail possible, but rarely, if printed, would it look good. The face is over-exposed by a stop or a stop and a half. Try redoing it and see if you like it. Try making the exposure on the face about a Zone 5 or 6 in brightness.
I used to get "Professional Photographer Magazine" and the cover frequently would have portraits of black people. It really made me aware that you don't have to print what the histogram shows.
Just my opinion, which doesn't mean a damn thing.

I tried to correct the exposure in ACDsee. Her dad took the photo
I do not think the photo can be salvaged. It was so overexposed the detail is missing. I like the expression and her wild hair. I will just have to get her at house and take time to do things right.

Whatta little cutie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Her other siblings are also good looking; but they pose, this girl does not. Sometimes she looks like she is off on an adventure without us. She is like me; I can easy just be thinking so hard about something else and get the staring at the horizon look which bugs some people.

Good job!! I have two daughters, now ages 54 and 52. Neither was a "dainty little girl" while growing up. Now, they are two magnificent women! Let her wrestle!!

Probably not what you were looking for, but this may be one option? She's a doll, and good thing that she's tough, too! It's a rough world out there!

Good job. This looks like one of the accidental shots which turn out to be long term keepers. No silly grin; just a "what do you want" look.
Sometimes all that really matters in a photo is if we love it or not. Who would not love that? She looks like a little angel to me.
Love that look of innocence.
