If you think we are then it's probably true.

I think all men need to be concerned with the well being of their fellow man. Some need little attention and some need a lot.

I also think that all men should work and strive for independence. I really don't care if they achieve that through hard work and perseverance, luck of being born into wealth, or hit the lottery. I confess, I don't have much empathy for those that squander opportunities then come looking for a hand-out. I don't believe in income re-distribution, certainly not on the scale that liberals do.

I am conflicted on a******n. Fundamentally I think it's wrong unless there are serious health issues involved for the mother or child. In the end one has to decide whether the rights of the mother supersede the rights of the unborn child or vice versa. There's this talk of "viability" at 20 some-odd weeks or whatnot, and that's probably fair in most situations, but what happens if this is a complicated pregnancy that impacts the mother's survival?

T***s? Self deluded fantasy for people afraid of reality. It's best described by Monty Python's Life of Brian from 20 odd years ago.

I believe in a strong well armed military. We have the capacity to destroy all life on the planet several times over. That should be enough. I also believe we need to stay out of these forever wars. If we aren't able to achieve the objectives then get out. No one has won in Afghanistan in a 1000 years though many have tried. Having worked in the DoD industry, I believe some of these are just excuses to use and a test environment for weapons platforms.

I think making it mandatory for 2-3 years like Switzerland is a fantastic idea. For some it would be that short stint, others may make a career out of it.

Free daycare, free college, free, free, is all a criminal travesty when we have homeless vets eating garbage. Personally I am tired of people sponging off the system. I am all for booting them off it. There's not many places that treats freeloaders better than Massachusetts. California maybe?

There is one politician that has me curious and she's actually a Democrat. I speak of course about Tulsi Gabbard. It would never happen but if she and Nikki Hailey were on a ticket I'd v**e for them.

I think you may be onto something. A Tulsi Gabbard/Nikki Haley ticket would be very interesting

Do you think your country is ready for both POTUS and VP being women... all in a single leap?

If they demonstrate they can lead - yes. Why not? The current one and his VP and the previous have no leadership sk**ls

I'm less concerned with their sex or race than I am with their abilities. Hailey was a capable governor, which in my view is a requirement for POTUS. The duo that currently occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are sorely lacking in those capabilities and it shows.

Gabbard seems to have her head on straight. She is also a veteran of our Armed Forces. Her biggest liability is the current state of the DNC.

OK, so then I would v**e for you to be Chief of Staff, I guess!

Agreed! The Presidency calls for leadership and managerial sk**ls, and those are usually bred in "business" or through the state governments' executive branches. The legislatures are not breeding grounds for leadership. Legislators, at wh**ever level, are very quick to cut deals for expediency, or just "to get along" with co-legislators.

The "B" schools and service academies are where leadership sk**ls are stressed. Law schools do not teach leadership, only process. Lawyers are taught from the get-go to stick to the process. It makes them decent legislators, but not the best candidates for leadership.

I don't have the temperament for a position like that unless we bring back an "off with their heads" policy. We do that I might re-consider.

After this cluster "f" by Biden, the American people may well v**e for two women. However, they may not be ready for a "split" ticket (Republican/Democrat). There are a lot of Republican women who can fill the V-P slot.

The American political system, is by and large two-party, and the unity comes from within the parties, not in open dealing. The last time a Republican President selected a Democrat Vice President, was when Lincoln selected Andrew Johnson, a Tennessee Democrat, to "unify" the country. He was looking ahead to the end of the 1861-1865 War, and reunification of the Union; we know how that developed. Reconstruction was not America's finest decade.
