Carl when I shoot an event or a dinner gathering, I like to use TTL mode, it produces good results and I don't have to worry about settings. It frees me up to pay attention to composing the shot, and interacting with the participants.

Other settings I would use, f8, 1/200*, ISO400.
*Or the camera's highest sync speed if sync speed is less than 1/200

Hi Carl TTL means “thru the lens”. The camera and flash work together to calculate exposure. TTL-Auto is the setting for that on the FL-36. With the flash mounted to the camera and with camera and flash unit ON you should see the TTL Auto mode. See page 22 of the flash manual for more details.

Auto mode is different. In that mode The FL-36 will calculate exposure based on f-stop and iso. That is for a camera that does not communicate with the flash unit. See page 25 of the flash manual for more details.

I’m sorry don’t understand the question. E-commerce is transactions and business conducted using the internet.

Do you mean what is the best lens for web site product photography? In that case something that can focus close up would be desirable.

Reportedly it works with the OM-D EM-1 mii.

“seems to work with the current Micro Four Thirds models from Olympus. I just checked it with the newest OM-D E-M1 Mk.II and it works just fine, including Auto TTL and FP modes as well as head-zooming functionality.”
