Sharing Thanksgiving with one of my feathered friends.

A Nuthatch (Sitta canadensis) a tiny songbird and an absolutely stellar acrobatic… a very friendly little bird.

They are especially fond of conifer seeds… which in the winter months provide much of their cuisine.
A few pairs hang out in the towering white pine which rises above my studio… (see below)

These wonderful little guys are my constant winter "holiday" time companions.
They are filling in for my Hummingbirds who are currently vacationing in the Caribbean islands… lol
Such amazing little ballerinas… they can walk upside down on tree branches and even sideways on the masonry brickwork walls of the studio… way too much fun watching this little ballerina dancing around the feeder…

Happy Thanksgiving to all! And please remember to feed those precious little songbirds in this artic weather.
Thanks!

Thank you for your wonderful comments Don... They mean so much coming from a master of the craft.
Your inspirational renderings of song birds and raptors are some of the best I've seen on UHH.

Have a wonderful Holiday Don

Thank you so much for your very kind words Don and your continued support...
Credit for the acuity latent within both captures goes to the stellar vintage AF 300mm f/4 IF ED Nikkor (circa 1987)
Was fortunate to find a "Like New" copy and it simply is amazing!

btw, love your flickr feed... especially those vintage Jaguar XK variants... Brings back so many wonderful memory of when I wore a younger man's clothes... Each and every one is a work of art, as are your stellar captures...
I'm especially amazed at the clarity and brilliance of the 1957 Jaguar XK 140 rendering... so beautifully done... and those sun-stars add an aura of mystic to this noble roadster...
Thank you for sharing those wonderful images Don...

All the best on your journey... Cheers!
