Who is the beneficiary of the electric cars. Not the US. The left has vowed to end the f****l f**l industry in the US/ And thereby cripple the US economy and force us into some kind of sicialist country. But who actually makes the most money. The makers of the batteries necessary to power everything And who is that?? CHINA. Virtually all lithium is mined in CHINA. And guess which family is paid millions of dollars every year. THE BIDEN familly. Is there a connection?? I know what some would say if it were the Trump family

So true.
We went from energy independence for the first time in decades, actually a net exporter under President Trump to a begging nation dependent on our enemies for energy in less than 6 months under Biden.
Gasoline under $2.00 to now over $5.00 in many areas (PA is pushing $4.00)
Electricity here is doubling this year.
Natural gas appears to also be doubling at least.
Of course the rich and welfare pukes could care less because one has all the money and the other have real Americans paying their tab.

Not only does China benefit the most, the middle class in the U.S. are harmed the most as electric cars are very expensive.

You really should really begin by checking your statement regarding the mining of lithium and the rest is bs as well. You r-wingers have mental issues as shown by your constant lies.

Yup, but the solution for some often means absolute disaster for others.....

The Build Back Better bill gives larger tax credits for electric cars built in the USA.

Wrong. I am “middle class” and bought a brand new Electric-hybrid Prius a year ago for $20,000 after a dealer discount and federal and state tax benefits. I am averaging 163 mpg. The first 25-30 miles I drive are entirely on the battery—after that it works as a hybrid. It is a great car. A new gasoline powered Camry would have cost more $ than what I spent for the Prius. And the Build Back Better bill will increase the federal tax benefits for buying electric cars, making cars like mine even more affordable, and the credit is further increased if the car is built in the USA

Good for you that the government was able to help you buy a car! The electric car does not suit my driving needs as it does not for lots of other people. The batteries are very toxic and eventually will have to be landfilled as recycling is not an option (maybe in the future). When the left enacts policy that makes fuel more expensive in an effort to push people to go electric (which they no doubt do) some people do go electric. This will lower the cost of electric cars and make them more prevalent on our roads (no paying the gas tax to maintain the roads). But for everything else and everyone else t***sportation becomes more expensive this affects all our goods and services that require t***sportation.

Good for a few but bad for everyone else. This happened with Obamacare good for a few poor people who now have medical insurance but bad for anyone that has to pay for their own. This happened with school loans good for those that cannot pay but the price of an education has skyrocketed. This will happen with daycare too, free for some but it will get a lot more expensive for anyone that has to pay for it. Almost anything the federal government touches gets more expensive some more than others.

And my link affirms your statement about China not controlling lithium, but it also highlights the environmental effects and displacement of indigenous peoples for its recovery.... I find it curious how these large corps and the woke left in this country are decrying the foundation of this country and the expansion into Indian lands, I recently saw a clip of a bunch of big wigs from Microsoft that as they introduced themselves they noted the Indian tribes that once populated the lands where their campus sits but in reality nothing has changed, corps are still exploiting the peoples of third world countries for their resources...... Out of sight out of mind, plus you get extra points in tearing our country and its history down, but not for a moment do you have to change the behavior that you are so dismissive of, put the feather in your cap and keep exploiting, just ask Nike and Labron James how that works.

I was comparing. Oil production in Dec 2020 to Nov 2022
American production is higher now .
The issue is pure demand and supply. Not politics or DC policy.

Who then pays for roads once everyone goes electric?

I was very clear.
Politics shut down the economy, banned travel almost completely for no logical reason whatsoever.
