Recently return from Mexico. What a delight and after being well rested thought I would post a photo of the serene beauty. Beach a Palya De Carma some forty miles from Cancun with Cozumel in the distance. Seems to always be raining in Cozumel. It rained on us mostly some days and rained so hard you could see the river run down the tree trunks. In and hour or two the rain was all but disappeared.

Our guide to Chichen Itza said it was not sand but volcanic ash. But little does he know. There are lots of types of sand and it is a texture and not a material.

I would rotate the second to correct the horizon.

I recropped and tweaked the first a bit. I don't know if I improved it or not :D

Nice photos! Thanks for taking us along. I remember fish tacos on the beach at Playa! Too much cartel violence now for me to return.... several recent instances of drug-related shootouts on the beach and in a restaurant (in nearby Tulum).

We stayed at Royal Hideaway and it was secured and never a hint of violence. Week before we got there there was drug violence twenty miles away half way between Playa and Cancun. But we felt safe. MANY PEOPLE NEVER LEAVE THE RESORT.
