There was a pet store in Jonesville, NC. They had several and occasionally i would go in, get them out of their cages and exercise them. Other customers were fascinated that they could be held and not bite. It was a fun time. You did good capturing their details.

Had a Mexican red leg that was quite easy to handle. Charlotte (what else!) loved her crickets and mealworms snd would take a mealworm out of my fingers. My HS kids loved her — e few substitute teachers not so much. 😉
