Lightpainting with a Smartphone

Practicing lightpainting with an IPhone 13 Pro Max. The setup, I took a piece of string and attached it to a small flashlight. I thin covered the end of the light so that only a pin-hole of light showed through. Next I attached the light to the ceiling in my garage. Using the Even Longer app, I set the settings to Light Trails , 30 secs. I then set the timer to 10 secs. This gave me enough time to hit the shutter button, lay the phone down on the concrete floor with the camera facing up. Turned off the garage light and swung the flashlight around.

Interesting. For your next assignment, I want you to have a nude young woman posing in the dark, and then "paint her" with the pinhole light! Possibly with different color gels over the light. If you are married, you should probably do it when the wife isn't home.....

Great idea and photos! Stirs up all sorts of creative ideas.
This looks like a great application for a smartphone adapter for your tripod, and a Bluetooth remote shutter button. I got mine for under $15 from Walmart. Great for so many tasks, even use it for video chat!

I have a smartphone adapter and a bluetooth remote. What are you using?
