I was lucky enough to meet CHG_CANON at Old Car City this weekend and spend the day shooting. Although I live 30 minutes away, I had never visited. Well, all I can say is WOW! The place is overwhelming.
I want to publicly thank Paul for the tremendous assistance he gave me about my photography.
I learned so much and Paul was extremely generous with his time.
Here are a few of the hundreds of images I took and so far processed in Photoshop. These are Jpegs for easier downloads.
Thanks again Paul.

Fantastic images. I had no idea this place existed and would have loved to join you there. What a fantastic use of the forum to suggest destinations and arrange for some collaboration. I'd love to hear more about what you learned and the techniques (both pre and post-processing) you found most useful. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I am still a novice at photography and Paul assisted me in getting my settings correct and helping me get with my focus. He helped point out shots like the chain hanging from the truck door image that I never would have noticed. As for PP, I shoot RAW & usually take my images into PS and start in ACR (camera Raw). after working the Basis sliders on texture, contrast, exposure, etc, I usually go to the color mixer tab and work on Hue, Saturation and Vibrance. Then I may do a level adjustment if I think I need it. I then take the image into PS and check the cropping, use the spot healing brush to remove clutter, and then Dodge, Burn and sponge to get the effect I want.
I know there is so much more to learn, but I had a great time with CHG_CANON.
Excellent photography on your part! However, I find it rather sad to see these cars left to decay in the woods when at one time they might have been saved with the restoration techniques and skills that are now available. Hopefully the owner of the property allows salvageable parts to be removed from the vehicles to aid in the restoration of other cars.

Thank you for the compliment. As for removable parts, I doubt they allow that. I was told this was once just a junk yard. When the owner wanted to retire, I believe a son took it over, and turned into an unbelievable Automobile Museum.
It's a wonderful thing when people are willing to help others. There are a few Hedgehogs that I would love to meet and learn from. Paul is one of them. Great photos by the way.
Very well done! Paul is a treasure. As a professional he is extremely generous with his time and easy to deal with.

Thanks Mike, I have had some back and forth emails with Paul before, and he was always helpful. Getting to spend an entire day with him, absorbing whatever I could was a treasure.

Very interesting photos!!
Sad as it is that these old cars are just sitting and rusting away, they are are a bonanza of photography opportunities giving them "new life".
