I bought a battery (Kester) but it lasted only 6 months before it didn't take a charge.

I've been using Powerextra batteries interchangeably with DMW-BLG10PP in my Lumix ZS 100 with no problems. Pretty sure they came from Amazon.

When I ordered my FZ1000 I also purchased an extra battery. The spare battery that arrived appeared identical with the exception of the suffix. Panasonic assured me that the suffix was used to identify the intended area of the world where the battery was to be shipped; however, some times shipments were diverted because of supply and demand considerations.
