Did something stupid. I installed my CPL filter over my UV filter.
Now I cannot unscrew the CPL filter.

Filter wrench, rubber jar opener, sometimes even a mouse pad. Go easy!

Bought these for similar problem. Worked like a charm.

I just had the same with a Polarizer screwed into ND10....I resolved it by using an age old method...small ziplock baggy to protect the lenses...Place inside freezer for 48 hours to thoroughly chill all components....I had tried a wrench, a rubber band, jar top rubber thingy...The minute I pulled it out of the freezer and started to untwist, I met no resistance

Some ideas -

Place upside down on rubber jar lid opener, mouse pad, etc., and twist
Don’t grip top of filter too tight. That can spread thread area.
Put in freezer for about six minutes.

I have found a method that works for me. Take a piece of masking tape and carefuly wrap it around the filter being sure to cover the intire side. Do not let it overlap the one below. take hold of the taped filter side and turn. This will assure that the screwed section of the filter turns while giving you a firm grip.

I found my filter wrench and it worked. I got the two filters separated after several try's.
