Nicely documented, Ron. I was an archer in my younger days.

Thanks Ken, I retired last year after 40 years in the Adelaide Archery Club, Sadly due to my spinal injuries I wasn't able to shoot for the last 20...

Every time you post a series like this, I am re energized. Loved Archery, still have bows etc. and space to shoot safely. One of these days, I'll have to hit the low end on draw of my collection and give it one more try. Shoulder surgery some years back has me hitting far off to the right regardless of what I do to compensate. Down the years before, I frequently broke nocks or arrows grouping close. Just like an old Firehorse when the bell rings...

I've graduated or fallen back, maybe, to a crossbow. That thing is so accurate that splitting arrows is a common problem. It gets expensive but it sure is fun! Nice photos BTW.

I took archery in college for a P.E. credit. I really enjoyed it, but didn’t pursue it any further.

Taught myself to shoot as a kid with the arrow on the right side of the bow and was never able to change. Taught myself to surf too--goofy foot.

Thank you, yes, I tried a crossbow but bending over to cock it hurt just as much as shooting my bow...
