Just be sure you have the right model of the lens. I bought a hood for a generation newer version of the 80-200 than mine, and it didn't fit. No great loss, but annoying since I bungled the research!
Any lens hood what is 58 mm will fit.on the back of your lens is different information. In this case the diameter of lens hood or filter is 58mm. The next info is infinite ♾ to close up to 0.4meter or 1.32 ft that means how close you can be to your subject till infinity.

That's a bit misleading, as "58" is the designated filter size, not the correct lens hood. For the most part, current lens hoods are all bayonet (H"B"), and specific to the lens. You could mount a 58mm screw-in lens hood, but at the wide end of the zoom, you're likely to get vignetting, unless you were to find a specific wide angle hood.

I make hoods for all of the optics that I use in my sessions including microscope objectives. I use a stiffened black felt that I can cut and roll to the diameter (black felt side inside) I need to snuggly fit over the end of the objective and then I tape it to hold its round shape.
You can trim it to be the "tulip shape" or leave it full-round. Of course, the factory lens hood is the best option but in a pinch or for that old or odd lens this works great.
