This is just to get a little "real" understanding of how people in your area/country are accepting the vaccine from the people who live there. Please feel free to share the feel you are getting from your area and/or country.

Here in Australia, the country is flying along with most Aussies accepting of the vaccine. We have just gone over 80% vaccination nationally.

Like everywhere, we have some of the tin foil brigade but the large majority of Aussies are happily getting vaccinated. It's not often these days you feel the masses banding together. However, when things here looked like going bad, the people in my state (Victoria) really came together. It gives you a good feel and hope that people can still work work as one when really needed. I can say I am very proud of the people in my state. It was a community effort on a very large scale.

Cases, hospitalizations and most importantly, deaths, are coming down. Life by 2022 should be very close to totally normal. We will likely end up well over 90% vaccination as a country.

Wide2tele,
I applaud your state of Victoria and the Aussies in general for achieving what the USA seemingly has so much trouble accomplishing by following good, tried, and proven public health measures. Here, the politicizing of vaccination, of masking indoors, of limits on crowded gatherings, etc, etc, along Red vs Blue party lines has made it nearly impossible to get a common enemy, Covid, under control. Furthermore, the lack of understanding of basic science and the scientific method by a huge segment of our population has contributed to the plethora of misinformation and lies promulgated by a host of charlatans in the media, in high office, at the pulpit, etc. Instead of heeding the advice of the public health officials, doctors, researches, and other qualified experts, they hide behind their shield of "personal freedom," while sacrificing the common goal of public health. Out of such stupidity, 750,000 lives were lost here, the biggest number in the world. So many nations, Australia included, with far fewer resources than the U.S. possesses, has done much better with fewer deaths, particularly when public health measures were followed, instead of selfish personal freedoms. We won't be out of the woods yet for a much longer time!

Good on 'ya, Wide2tele! Sorry to say, but arrogant Americans have deep-seated resistance to all things "mandate". Even those who are vaccinated join the unvaccinated in protests. Many in our area have lost their jobs and even moved out of New York to states that are less authoritarian. The line is "I'm not against the vaccine, I'm against being threatened by the government if I don't get it." I was skeptical myself, until observing those who got it for 6 months, the FDA approved it, and my son ran a marathon 4 days after getting it. If it was going to cause health problems, my son would have felt them in that time of extreme exertion. Now, after getting it and feeling no after effects, (not even a slight fever), I'm thinking all the protesting and fuss is much ado about nothing.

I just had a quick look and a rough idea of U.K. figures is 74% 1st. Vaccination, 68% 2nd Vaccination, and 15% booster. I've had my booster but Mrs. N. has slight Asthma so she is getting a 3rd Vaccination but will have to wait a full 6 months from 2nd vaccination for that (she'll get a booster later).

Seems to be a bit of confusion here. I think there's plenty available but some people don't know whether to let the local Surgery arrange it or to book through thier local Surgery, in or to self book themselves on the Government Website.

Hiccups - but it seems to be going very well. Most people accepting of it except those who've got the 5G chips planted in them.

Mid August I was on safari in Botswana, when vaccines were just becoming available in the more remote sites. There were huge lines at designated vax sites while we were there. The Botswanans seemed to know how important it was to be vaccinated in order to protect themselves, their families, and their tourist guests. Anti-Vaxers in the US really ought to spend some time in less developed countries to understand the critical role of Covid vaccination in protecting the community.

As I've said before, it's all about who you choose to believe, I get most of my information from a few frontline health care workers that I know personally and who have nothing to gain by lying. Also, it seems like the widespread distrust of politicians seems to diminish when it comes to certain issues, like Covid or global warming,Covid is as much of a political issue as it is a health issue. Also I personally do not trust Bill Gates since the vaccines he sent to Africa, apparently contain abortion chemicals and he has been caught lying about certain aspects of the Covid issue like microchips in the vaccine, as determined by body language observations, as well as outright lies.

Thank you. I could have not said this better than you have. You have concisely nailed the problem. So angering and frustrating. Arguing fact with people who we used to perceive as intelligent and socially responsible has become too common. People have traded in their thoughtful brains for social media frenzy. That’s the common enemy at the this point.

I don't know about Bill Gates and the conspiracy theories but when I got the shot I did notice the syringe had an Intel Inside sticker on it.

only joking.

Yep. I heard it. Using the vaccine as the vehicle to microchip the masses. Sounds plausible to me. Probably an AI chip that replicates and is scheduled to take control of all carriers on a specific date for Dr. Evil’s master domination plan! Gimme a friggen break. I do have a couple of very nice, lightly used bridges for sale. Special deal. Better hurry. Going fast.

You apparently don't believe that there are microchips in the vaccine! Then how ELSE do you explain the chip shortage that just happened to arise just when the vaccines were developed???

You are the problem. Nothing you say is accurate. Stop promoting nonsense and ridiculous conspiracy theories You are as dense as my neighbor whose husband recently died of COVID because he wouldn’t get vaccinated. She stupidly blames the hospital for not giving him horse medicine, and still refuses to be vaccinated. She has a lovely home in our community that may soon become available.
Oh, you are also as programmed as the idiots in Dallas, who were waiting for JFK jr to come back from the dead and join Trump for a presidential run in 2024.
Or as selfish as Aaron Rodgers who cost his team at least one win so far this year.
Vaccines have been mandated since they first came out, and they aren’t the only government mandates. Seat belts, speed limits, taxes, selective service, passports etc include just a few of the others.

You’re right! Never thought of that. They must have stolen the shrinkerizer from “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” to shrink all of those chips. Unless of course Intel, Adobe, Nikon, Canon and Sony are all in on it photographing and reducing the chip resolution and size for the federal government. What a plot!

My county has a vaccination rate of 66.19%. The country across the river is 61.81%. So I figure about four out of ten people I see walking around - unmasked - are not vaccinated.

As of November 5, 67% of New Yorkers have gotten vaccinated.
