Hello hoggers, my 7 year old Epson all-in-one printer finally made its last print today. I have been in the market for a new all-in-one that prints great photos. My Epson was very good and I would definitely buy a new model. However, I am looking for advice on other brands, Canon, Brother, etc. The printer is for home use and my budget is up to $500.00. Hogger input would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Epson XP-960 (Expression Photo) an al-in-one that also prints on CDs and DVDs, which replaced an Epson1460 that died early this year. I would have replaced the 1460 with another one, but they quit making and supporting them. The 960 does everything it is supposed to do-photo color is fantastic. If this 960 dies, I'll immediately replace it with another 960.

Floyd, thanks for the recommendation. My old Epson that died is a WF-3520. I have been reviewing Canon, Brother and Epson printers this evening I may stick to what I know. I never had any problems with my Epson until this year. I’ll take a look at the XP-960 tomorrow. Thanks again.

Seriously look at HP printers, I have used them for centuries and the instant ink program is unbeatable.

Take brother printers off your list if you are talking photos. IMHO!

I use the Cannon TS-8300 series. They seem to hold up print great up to 8x10 and I can get my ink from Precision Color

Canon Pixma G620; all in one; Tanks, not cartridges. BUT, doesn’t play well with Macs.

With that in mind, and you must leave the Epson brand, make sure that whatever you get has "Ink Tanks"!!!

I should have mentioned I'm a windows 10 user. I will also say I use Nikons software and affinity Photo to edit and print. I find the Cannon software is ok but seems difficult for me to use compared to the others. Could be just due to familiarity

I just got the Epson XP 8600 Small-in-One with SIX color cartridges , and the results are exceptional. Just $250, but the ink is very
expensive.

Epson ET-8500 (8.5 x 11) or ET-8550 (13 x 19). Not cheap up front, but ink tanks instead of cartridges and six colors for good photo printing.

Yes, I do rave about the ET-2760 tank printer. I'm surprised Epson hasn't quadrupled the price of ink. I paid $65 for a standby set of ink. The ink in the printer is at about the halfway point after printing over 3,000 pages. I like the way it easily prints on both sides of the page.
