And another... First is B&W Tri-X film original from 1973. Second is with three Photoshop Neural Filters applied.
As usual, view in download at 100% for full impact.
Ha, Ha! Where was that subject? Unusual composition!

Thanks! It was the 1970s, so I don't remember.
Actually, I'm pretty sure it was in South Carolina, somewhere. I went to the museum (or whatever the building on the right is) with my parents that day. If anyone here knows the place, chime in. I'd love to know if that thing is still there.
Did this with the G'Mic stained glass effect.

VERY trippy. That would make an excellent 24"x36" poster for a 1960s hippie crash pad... or an elegant framed print in a fancy hotel room.
Cool effects, I especially like the last one!!
I don't do a lot of special effects (other than Infrared) but I dabble once in a while...
edrobinsonjr That's way cool!!

Nice! I especially like the infrared of the barn. I miss Ektachrome Infrared film from the 1970s. It was bizarre, false color film.

Thanks very much! I do love infrared. I was shooting in the 70's but I never tried Infrared back then. Wish I had...

It's been a while since I've posted on UHH, so I think my comment ended up somewhere else...LOL...but I love that stained glass effect!

I enjoy using special effects to get creative and I would enjoy seeing your creations.
Very nice start, Karen. Thanks for the challenge. It looks like it should turn out to be a good one and is bring in some posts for newcomers to this particular thread that we've kind of adopted as our own.
In the neon museum a couple of months back I took a few different angles of this demo piece of tubes with different gases to get the colors. Now that I'm home no reason not to play. I use Photoshop Elements and generally just mess around with the different filters, and layers not sure they would win any art show awards, but I have a little fun doing it.
Original cropped to a square image.

used distort filter and changed rectangular coordinates to polar cordinates.

Then flipped the image horizontally and changed the coordinates back from polar to retangular.

Then played with the original again changed coordinates flipped vertically and changed coordinates back again.

Then I really just played with played a lot with that image. Then I gave up.
