Toby my wife's Shih Tzu likes the way they crunch when he bites down and he taught my little Jack Russell Tara to like it also. As a result I only put a few peanuts on the ground or very low feeders.
Today I did put some down low and Toby saw me doing it and immediately took advantage. A crow on the power line was telling him what he thought of dogs stealing "His" peanuts.

Very cute little thief!!! Dogs like peanut better so maybe he just prefers the original form in addition to the crunch.

Probably, they both like the brand of dog treats that has peanut butter centers and the teeth cleaning "chew bones" with a peanut butter center.

Peanut butter is great for dogs, in small quantities as a treat, but a warning. Always check the ingredients, many peanut butters contain xylitol. Even a very small amount of xylitol can be fatal to a dog.
