I would like a smaller dSLR as a second body to my D7000 and D300s. Which would anyone suggest?

Do you have a D3200? I see it has 24 MPs.

No, I do not. I can't see getting one when I have a D7000 and soon the D600.
Why do you really want another DLSR, when you have two very good bodies? Why not a good P&S?

I think that would be a
third body.
The D7000 & D5100 have the same sensor. That's a good enough reason to get one.

Sorry, it is the third body, but I think I could only manage two at a time. I don't have any old lenses as I have really just gotten into photography since digital. (I wish I had been into it sooner). Thank you for the link, GoofyNewfie.

You can get a good deal on a D7000 on eBay. Just be sure to find out how many clicks on the shutter.

True, I was just thinking I wanted a dSLR that was a little smaller than what I have.

Hopefully they would tell the truth. How many is too many?

You give up a LOT of features and quality for that just slightly smaller body size.

This is exactly why I asked the question, because I really have two very good cameras! What I really want iws the D600, but.....a little too much to spend. Plus the fact I don't have the lenses for it

That is the problem with investing in DX lenses, eventually you will want to go full frame and those lenses will look like the poor investment they really are. And the D600 is sized between your D7000 and D300s so it won't be smaller to you.
If you are really set on going smaller, take a good look at the 24MP D3200. Also, the D5200 should be introduced around Xmas 2012 or January 2013. (Maybe)
Good luck in your decision.

You're so right about the lenses. But I really didn't know and I am obviously still learning. Thank you so much for your input.
